Most hospitals will require upfront payment prior to surgery. Credit cards are accepted, and loan facilities are available, but these are independent of our service, and we are not permitted to offer you advice other than to make sure you can ultimately afford your surgery and do not get into debt!
Remember that joint replacement surgery is meant to be available to you completely without charge under the NHS. You are under no obligation to proceed with your surgery privately even after an initial private consultation.
The initial consultation is not included in the package price for surgery. Depending on where the surgery is undertaken, physiotherapy after discharge may be included in the package price, along with the cost of necessary x-rays and follow up appointments. This can all be discussed in detail once a decision has been made on whether to proceed with joint replacement.
